Booking Mindenwood as your wedding florist

Step 1: Get in touch

The best way to get in touch is to complete and send the Enquiry form, including as many details as you can. If you have inspiration images for your wedding flowers and styling, please send/share them by email before your consultation; you might have a Pinterest board so the link to it would be ideal. Once, I receive your Enquiry form, I will contact you to arrange a complimentary Zoom consultation, or possibly meet in person.

Step 2: Initial consultation

The consultation usually takes around 40 minutes. It is a great way for us to work out if Mindenwood will be the best wedding florist for you. We will chat about your plans, ideas and hopes for the day, your venue, budget and, of course, your wedding flowers - colours, varieties, seasonality and likes and importantly, your dislikes. I can advise and guide you on seasonality and scale of installations and arrangements.

Step 3: Proposal and quote

After your consultation, if we feel Mindenwood could be your dream wedding florist, I will prepare an outline proposal that describes my vision for your flowers based on our conversation and your inspiration images, with itemised costs, and create an overview vision board. I see this as our starting point that is subject to change, and before booking, we can discuss the proposal and costs.

Step 4: Booking

When you decide to book Mindenwood as your wedding florist, I will send you a detailed proposal and vision board with my terms & conditions. A non-refundable hold the date and design fee of £200 is needed to secure your date within 7 days. If the payment is not received in this time, the date may still be available for you but it will also be open for other couples. The hold the date payment is taken off the total balance.

Please note the remaining balance is due six weeks before your wedding date.

What happens after booking

Staying in contact is important. I continue to work on your designs and flower recipes, and if I haven’t worked at your wedding venue(s) before, I will arrange a visit; it could be that we go together. I also make contact with your venue’s wedding co-ordinator and other suppliers eg photographer, cake designer and you may have a wedding planner. I appreciate that circumstances can change and if ideas need to be altered, we can look at these together and update your proposal as needed. I will check in with you six weeks before your wedding to go over final plans.

On the day

We arrive at your venue(s) at the agreed time to set up ceremony and wedding breakfast arrangements and installations. Either on the way or at the venue, I will deliver bridal flowers and groom’s party buttonholes. It is always lovely to hand over your bouquet but appreciate this could be one of your venue co-ordinator’s or wedding planner’s duties.

The day after

Part of the Mindenwood service, is to come back to the venue to clear/break down installations, collect vessels, candle holders etc. Flowers and foliage in good condition are prepared for you to take away and/or gift to family and friends.
